Be the first pair of hands on the book and media donations made to Friends. Great opportunity for small groups or individuals. Perfect for students with community service requirements.
Help organize incoming book and media donations. Keep the sorting room clean and organized, allowing volunteers to efficiently sort books. Work with the internet sales team, bookstore team, and book sorters. The donation organizer is the keystone piece to the sorting operation.
Tasks include:
Unbox new donations
Pre-sort for quality
Place donations into crates
Break down cardboard boxes
Take out discard books
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. Exposed to dust regularly. Dust masks provided!
