Gates Public Library is seeking enthusiastic instructors for the 2017 Girls Who Code after-school program. The afterschool program runs from October - May and is designed to educate, inspire, and equip middle & high school girls with the skills and resources to pursue academics and careers in the technology and engineering sectors. We believe all girls have the interest and ability to code. Our Girls Who Code instructors encourage, nurture and mentor girls, providing them with the essential support needed to build their interest in coding and computational thinking.
The GWC instructors guide girls through the curriculum, helping them to build sisterhood within the Club and learn to use computer science to impact their community. Many GWC instructors have NO technical experience and learn to code alongside their Club members.
