Community Team, to facilitate a Community Building Program in Apartments

Community Teams (CT) are placed at partner apartment communities to work with management to facilitate a successful Community Building Program. The CT plans and hosts a full calendar of about 4 events each month, that include small group activities and meals for the community.

We also welcome new residents that move in, along with providing support to the staff and residents in times of need and celebration.

We are looking for people who live and breathe hospitality and have time to really invest their time into establishing a vibrant community. Community Teams are neighbors who make an apartment a home!

• It is required that you live onsite for this volunteer role, therefore a 2-bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment is provided to the Community Team at no charge.
• 1-on-1, small group, and real time training on how to live out your faith in a business environment and in your neighborhood, is also provided

Some Requirements:

• Growing Christian with a passion for making a difference in your community.
• Active involvement in a local church or home fellowship
• Three years work experience or four-year college degree
• Stable emotional well-being and healthy personal relationships
• Professional communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to initiate relationships and work with diverse groups of people.
• Must be good at making others feel welcome.
• Proficiency working with MS Office and mobile technology apps
• Your own computer
• Reliable Transportation, for shopping and getting supplies
• Commit at least 10 hours per week (per team member) for a combined total of 70 hours in month
• Both need to be available evenings and some weekends. That's when 90% of our weekly activities happen
• Successful completion of background check
• Additional income: 1 full time and up to one part-time person
• Commit to serve for at least 18 months
• $500 Security Deposit
• $125 per month, paid to Community Northwest for ongoing care/support (1 time training, ongoing monthly Care Group)
