Water Ambassadors engage the community and help the environment by educating Thornton residents on the importance of water conservation. Ambassadors hightlight The City of Thornton's conservation programs by talking with water customers at City sponsored events, presenting water conservation topics at local schools, volunteering at the Thornton Fire Station 5 water-wise garden, looking for water waste and offering solutions to stop the waste, providing feedback on Thornton's current and future water conservation programs, and testing new water efficient products and reporting their observations.
Applicants must be able to lift 20-50 lbs.
Schedule:
Flexible, with the commitment to attend quarterly meetings in order to share ideas and information (usually on Tuesday evenings)

Volunteer Thronton, The City of Thornton's Volunteer Program engages citizens throughout the community by placing them in municipal departments based on volunteers' areas of interest. The City of Thornton has several established volunteer opportunities ranging from long-term placements to one-time events. The City of Thornton strives to be a model volunteer program for the Denver Metro area and beyond.
