2017 Elevation Celebration sponsored by Sano Hospital and Conifer Chamber of Commerce.
Our booth will be set up for promoting Intermountain Humane Society, selling product, getting new members, and volunteers. There will be 2 shifts each day of the event: 10:00-1:00 and 1:00-4:00. Those times may be changed. It will be lots of fun as Elevation Celebration provides exciting things to do and see.

Mission Statement
New vision and mission for 2017: Our vision and mission is to be the leading resource for dogs, cats and pet stewards in Park County and the surrounding mountain communities. At Intermountain Humane Society we save, shelter, train, educate, rehabilitate and find dogs and cats their forever homes. At IMHS our Vision is to: Serve, educate and inspire the community to advance the welfare of animals and elevate their value in society. Safeguard, rescue, shelter, adopt out and advocate for animals in need. Act as a lifeline to underserved regional shelters who need to transfer the animal to keep from euthanization. Maintain our 100% placement rate for adoptable animals. Reduce dog and cat overpopulation through spay/neuter and education. Our mission is to serve animals and people by offering programs that promote animal health and repsonsible pet-stewardship, and foster compassion towards animals.
Description
InterMountain Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization first organized in 1982. Since that time, IMHS has found new homes for almost 5000 animals in the area of Park and Southwest Jefferson Counties. We average between 500-600 animals a year recently.
IMHS operates a small shelter in Pine Junction, a small community between Conifer and Bailey. Our shelter is the only shelter in all of Park County. Our service area is really all of CO and we commonly rescue from out of state too. IMHS does not receive any government funding and relies on charitable donations, grants, fundraising events, and adoption fees for our entire budget.
IMHS typically rescues and places over 500 animals a year and invests in each one by spaying or neutering, vaccinating, microchipping and socializing.
