ORGANIZATION: Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest

The Building Foundations Luncheon is LSS-SW’s annual fundraising event held in Phoenix in February. Throughout the year we engage community members as Champions invite their family, friends and colleagues to learn more about LSS-SW at Come & See tours. Key Champions become Table Captains with a goal of filling a table of 10 guests for the Building Foundations Luncheon. We anticipate 22 table captains with 220 guests. The Fundraising Event Logistics Volunteer will support the Regional Director of Community Engagement with all event details.

  • Assisting staff with pre-event preparations
  • Table Captain packets and pledge card envelopes
  • Guest list, nametags, and seating chart
  • Event signage and decoration
    • Day of event set up, signage, decoration, and registration
    • Event stage manager and official time keeper
    • follow along with master script - signal speakers if they are going over time
    • ensure no lag time between speakers at the podium
  • Follow up calls and data entry
