Spend an evening with foster, adoptive and kinship kiddos doing various activities (that have already been planned), in order to allow the adults who care for these children to have a few hours "break". Dinner is provided (you'll be eating with the kids). Training is required for all new folks. Send an email to the volunteer coordinator indicating that you'd like to volunteer and she will send you the forms and additional information to complete for training. She is also available for any questions.

Kids at Heart is a non profit that supports foster, adoptive and kinship families and the children in their care.

Description

Kids at Heart started as a program of Heart of the Rockies Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and has now grown such that it will become it's own 503c organization in the near future. This program supports foster, adoptive and kinship families in Larimer County. Kids at Heart organizes various opportunities for ALL foster, adoptive and kinship families so that the youth can have time with other youth who may have gone through similar life experiences, while the adults who love and care for them have time to re-group and renourish themselves while knowing their kids are in good hands. These events could not happen if we didn't have volunteers willing to spend time helping staff our events. Kids at Heart continues to expand as a community-based organization providing support in a variety of ways to these families, regardless of their religious preference.
