Words Alive is partnering with United Way to offer an accelerated summer reading program to prevent the summer slide! Volunteer to read and lead in an elementary or preschool classroom, and help students find meaningful connection to literature and bridge the summer months with continued education.
10 volunteers needed!
Program runs July 24th - August 18th -- four weeks only! Volunteers read and lead reading exercises in a classroom for a minimum of 90 minutes once a week. *must be able to commit to each of the four weeks as the program is condensed!
Training necessary! Must attend one of two dates offered:
- Wednesday, July 19th 1:00-4:30pm
- Thursday, July 20th 9:30am-1:00pm
