Volunteer needed Sept 25-29, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Front Desk Administrative Volunteer Position:
Our Curtner Center in North San Jose is currently looking for a cheerful volunteer to assist with customer service and administrative tasks. The Front Desk Administrative Volunteer would help in answering phones, accepting donations, receiving and distributing mail and data entry for direct service programs.
This volunteer opportunity might be for you if:
- You absolutely love helping people!
- You are passionate and persistent in finding answers for our community members.
- You have a high attention to detail and is the type of person who doesn’t easily get overwhelmed by paperwork or data entry.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a guest facing positon.
- Ability to interact with all types of people and provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Dependable.

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is a private non-profit organization that collects and distributes more than 12 million pounds of food each month. We currently serve an average of over 500,000 individuals each month; 60% are low income families and 20% are seniors. By building collaborative networks, we efficiently distribute food by leveraging donations of money, food and human resources. But we cannot do it alone.
