We need help with a large variety of jobs, from office work, cleaning, stable management, landscaping, and working with riders of various disabilities during their horse back riding lesson. We are a growing center with many different programs. This opportunity is a great way to reach out to the community even if you have little to no horse experience! Many of our volunteers are able to connect with our riders and horses to make a difference in their life. Volunteers keep our barn running smoothly!

Description
Healing Strides is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization established in 1991. We are located on 22 acres with a professional staff, certfied instructors, trained volunteers, and a herd of 20+ horses. We are the only Premier Accredited Center with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Riding Int'l (PATH) in the Roanoke Valley. We offer therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, veterans program and drill team, EAGALA and mental health, US Pony club, forever young/seniors riding club, mentoring, PATH instructor in-training, community service, interships, able body riding/horsemanship skills, and we are also host the the Ferrum college Equestrian team.
