STEM Sisters (https://usm.maine.edu/stemsisters), new out of the University of Southern Maine wants to connect with geeky women in STEM fields to nerd out with young women in the Portland community, inspiring them with your STEM lores!

Our goal is to cultivate programming throughout the 2017-2018 academic year that features a broad range of STEM topics shared in innovative ways.

Volunteers sought will have some correlation to the STEM fields and we are looking for women or men who can partner with USM students to present learning experiences to high schoolers about topics beyond the school curricula. We take our experiences, our interests, and passions about specific STEM topics and excite high school girls about STEM. If you’re an artist, in robotics, a teacher, a musician, a luthier, in medicine, or you’re not sure if your work correlates please give me a shout out at usm.vista@maine.edu, I want to talk to you -- there is science and math in EVERYTHING!
