MY NEIGHBORHOOD MOBILE GROCERY

My Neighborhood Mobile Grocery (MNMG) is a weekly pop-up market that provides families who have low access to affordable, healthy foods with a new and innovative shopping option within their communities. Offering a wide, competitively-priced product mix that balances client choice with nutritional products and incentives to increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, MNMG extends the purchasing power of shoppers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Siersma Elementary School is a year-round school of choice with an economically and ethnically diverse population of nearly 500 students. We are in need of 4 more volunteers to help with market set-up and tear-down, as well as to serve in the following capacities:

Greeters/Order Takers (4 needed) - Greet shoppers as they arrive. Distribute shopping lists and explain the ordering process. Manage the queueing line of shoppers as they review products on the display table and wait to place their order. Indoor setting.

Order Fillers (2 needed) - Work on pulling the customers’ orders from the Gleaners Mobile Grocery truck. Orders will also be double checked as they are bagged for customers. Outdoor setting.

Order Baggers/Checkers (2 needed) - Double check orders when they came off the truck and bag for customers. Indoor setting.
