Research Role

This Board Member is responsible for qualitative and quantitative research for the organization’s various audiences. This organization is at an exciting point and seeks someone who has a good understanding of how to build effective surveys and analyze data for use in grants and presentations. This is a critical role, collaborating with the Executive director to ensure results will provide information for a set of expectations. This role may have other tasks involved in trouble shooting a new project the organization is working on.

The research member is elected at the annual meeting of the organization to hold office for a two-year term, or until a successor is elected and qualified, and is eligible for re-election for one additional consecutive two-year term.

• Experience in research (preferably both qual/quant survey and reporting)
• Keen eye for detail
• Proven track record of success
• Highly collaborative in approach, entrepreneurial in approach; demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
• Creates surveys for various audiences, collects, records and analyzes data for reporting to the Board at monthly meetings
• Works with the Executive Director to ensure that efforts are coordinated and timely
• Assists the Executive Director to prepare and create new presentations with verified research
• Works with the Executive Director to develop needs for annual strategy review (April/May)
• Works with the Executive Director to develop long-term research strategies.
• Keeps currently informed of legal, regulatory and sector developments relating to the Board’s research responsibilities.
