PR Volunteer

Almost Home is seeking a volunteer to help with PR to increase nominations for an upcoming awards event and to increase awareness of Almost Home’s mission and work. This person will be able to work on their own time and is not required to work onsite. The ideal person is experienced in public relations and will help us design and execute a PR strategy. They will work closely with staff, and will not be expected to execute all aspects of the strategy. Assistance is needed in the areas of press releases, PR strategy, and identifying appropriate news sources and media for promoting Almost Home. This person should be dedicated to helping us achieve our mission to empower young moms to become self- sufficient and create a better future for themselves and their children.

Individuals interested should be:

• Passionate about breaking the cycle of poverty for two generations
• Experienced in various areas of Public Relations
• Dedicated to the agency’s success
• Willing to think creatively
• Determined to use their unique skills in ways that grow awareness for the agency
