TASK DESCRIPTION

Title: Agency Volunteer Photographer Volunteer

Supervisor: Volunteer Coordinator, Development Coordinator

Time and availability: Monday-Friday, occasional weekend

This position schedule is flexible. The volunteer will work "as needed" and when they are available for 1hr-2hr sessions, depending on the task.

Description: Almost Home is looking for an individual with photography experience who can help our agency produce pictures for marketing and organization branding. The Agency Volunteer Photographer will work closely with the Development Coordinator and the Volunteer Coordinator to create digital images which document and capture special events, celebrations, programs, volunteer services, and agency activities. These new, high quality images will be used to support Almost Home’s website and printed marketing, donor thanks, member recognition, and agency outreach.

The Agency Volunteer Photographer will take pictures on site and will not be asked to provide any additional photo editing services. The volunteer may work a flexible schedule, but must be available to volunteer no less than one shift a month. While the volunteer will help document events throughout the year, the volunteer may also be asked to help create special campaigns that document our daily programming at Almost Home.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old or older; 16+ may be considered with guardian supervision
• Must have previous experience as a photographer, either as an amateur or working professional (Proof of experience should be provided in the form of a portfolio, website, or slideshow)
• Must have access to professional photography equipment (DSLR Camera preferred) and have the means to produce high quality images (RAW preferred)
• Must have access to transportation
• Must adhere to Almost Home’s confidentiality agreement

Artistic Integrity: Almost Home values artists and their creations. Almost Homewillsupport the Agency Volunteer Photographer byproviding photo credit or images stamps when images are used, will link to professional sites when recognizing sponsorship, and will coordinate social media postings promoting the volunteer’s images. If it adheres to the agency’s confidentiality agreement, Almost Home will designate images for artistic promotion.
