Do you have a passion for helping people? Do you enjoy watching a project grow organically from start to finish? Can you help out those that have questions and make last-minute adjustments? Do you have any previous project management or construction skills you'd like to tune up?

Rebuilding Together Twin Cities is looking for a handful of part time site managers to help run sites during the warmer months (April - October). These individuals will work with full time Rebuilding Together staff throughout the whole process of client selection, previewing, work scope and material ordering, and finally working on site when volunteers arrive on-site. Typically this process spans a couple months.
Rebuilding Together is looking for managers who are thorough and can follow the process of organizing a project from start to finish, with help from staff if needed. Managers also need to be comfortable dealing with homeowners and keeping them in the loop concerning the appropriate scope of work, capabilities of Rebuilding Together and volunteers, and the obligations of the homeowner on work days. Managers are also encouraged to interact and get to know volunteers on work days and help out where needed.

Rebuilding Together Twin Cities offers a financial stipend of up to $250 per project for site managers.

Mission Statement

The mission of Rebuilding Together Twin Cities is repairing homes, revitalizing communities, rebuilding lives.

Description

Rebuilding Together renovates and revitalizes homes to help homeowners regain a sense of pride in themselves and their community. It began in 1988 as a national organization with 13 affiliates across the country, born out of the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor. Today, the Rebuilding Together network consists of 129 affiliates, located throughout the United States.

When qualified homeowners are not capable of making needed repairs, Rebuilding Together Twin Cities will coordinate the volunteers, skilled labor, tools and supplies necessary to repair the homes. We also rehabilitate properties that house qualifying nonprofit organizations serving our community. We focus our efforts on older adults, individuals living with disabilities, active and retired members of the armed services, and families with children, tailoring services to meet the needs of each individual homeowner.

In the 23 years since our founding locally, we have renovated and revitalized 1,111 homes, 74 nonprofit centers and community spaces, and four small businesses with the help of 11,415 volunteers, bringing hope and renewed pride to neighborhoods throughout the Twin Cities.
