QUINCY ASIAN RESOURCES, INC. (QARI) is a not-for-profit organization based in Quincy, MA (just south of Boston and on the "T" Red Line). QARI's mission is to foster and promote the development of the social, cultural, economic and civic lives of Asian Americans to benefit the entire community.

We are a multi-service agency that serves the Asian population (primarily immigrants and those with low-income) residing in Quincy and the surrounding South Shore. Some of the services we offer include ESOL classes, youth leadership development, mentoring, translation, cultural events, and information and referrals to outside resources.

Title: Development Intern (Unpaid)

Schedule: Flexible

Reports to: Development Manager

Quincy Asian Resources Inc. (QARI) is seeking a Development Intern. At QARI, not only are we looking for interns that will commit to the needs of the agency, but we are also dedicated to the learning and advancement of our interns. The intern will assist the Development Manager with planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, marketing through social media, event planning (including two large-scale community festivals in January and August, and one gala fundraiser in May), communication with sponsors and donors, and administrative duties as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Promote QARI and events through social media and marketing, including website content, press releases, e-blasts and newsletters

• Follow up with inquiries regarding fundraising and events in a timely fashion

• Communicate with sponsors, donors and vendors in a respectful, professional and positive manner

• Complete data management/entry (primarily Salesforce)

• Complete mass mailings

• Support event logistics as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Must be extremely detail oriented

• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite and Google Docs; familiarity with Squarespace preferred

• Some minor graphic design as needed; familiarity with basic graphic design apps a plus

• Available to work some evenings
