Part-time Office Assistant Description
Job Brief:
The Community Literacy Program at Erie Neighborhood House is looking for a welcoming and dedicated volunteer that is willing to work in the office from 5pm-7pm on weeknights throughout the year.
Orientation prior to starting will be provided and will detail office duties and logistic.
Responsibilities:
Receive and direct phone calls
Relay any messages that are pertinent to those involved with the Community Literacy Program all while ensuring the confidentiality of participants and clients.
Able to complete common intakes and inform participants about the logistics of the Community Literacy program
Ensure all incoming participants complete a pre-test upon registration
Maintain Community Literacy participants and tutors timesheet and information using the organization software.
Match tutors and participants based on english level and hours of availability.
Ensure that the office space and files are organized and locked come closing time.
Plan and coordinate any meetings, conferences, and events that are in partnership with or from the Community Literacy department.
Requirements:
Must be available during the hours of 5pm-7pm
Must be available to volunteer at least once a week.
Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft
