Companion Volunteers provide companionship and support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. They provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. These trained volunteers visit patients and families at home or skilled nursing facilities to pay a friendly visit, relieve a caregiver for an afternoon out, read aloud, li sten to memories, or run a quick errand for patients and families. Many times this visit will be the high point of someone’s day!
