We are a non-profit organization with a small vegan/vegetarian/gluten free cafeteria, looking for certified or recently graduated cook to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be trained or certified in basic culinary arts, and have an interest in preparing delicious and creative vegetarian food. Choose to work in a low pressure, low turnover environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player, two days weekly plus additional hours offered as needed.
The best candidate for this position will have:
- food preparation, cooking, plating, presentation education and/or experience
- good work habits, clean appearance, patient temperment
- attention to detail
Position responsibilities:
- kitchen maintenance and cleaning skills
- maintain and order stocks and supplies
- menu planning
- following food safety requirements
- honoring ashram kitchen protocols

Kula Kamala Foundation took root in 2008 as a result of the healing vision and dedication of Sudha & Ed Allitt. Kula Kamala Foundation is dedicated to coordinating, implementing and supporting therapeutic Yoga education, services and training for individuals and groups from public, special and medical communities, in order to reduce suffering, enhance happiness and improve overall health & wellbeing, with a special emphasis in areas and for individuals where such programs might not otherwise be available or accessible.
