FOSTER IN YOUR OWN HOME; NO TRAVEL NEEDED.

Our rescue foscuses on pets at high kill shelters that are at risk of being euthanized. At times we rescue multiple litters of puppies and are in need of a foster to take one for a period of 1-2 weeks at most.

Criteria is as follows:

• Foster cannot leave puppy unattended for more than 3 hours at a time so someone who works part time, from home, retired, student or not working is ideal.
• Fenced yard
• Some experience with dogs
• local to Hillsborough, Pasco or Pinellas counties
• Any other dogs in the household must be well socialized and up to date on vaccines
• Home visit and interview required

For those seeking Bright Futures Scholarship our rescue will certify foster time as volunteer time if student is mature and responsible and parent oversees care.

One you are cerifed as a foster, we will contact you when our next litter arrives to confirm our availability. We can provide food if needed; Rescue covers all medical expenses. Puppy will be under your care as you work to provide it with love and attention as we schedule their vet appointments to have them fixed, vaccinated and ready for adoption. This process takes 1-2 weeks. Once they are ready for adoption the puppy is returned to the rescue.

Fosters can stay in our sysem as certified and can opt to be contacted for future need or on a one time basis.

Fostering saves lives but is a huge responsibility so please speak with all members of the household prior to contacting the rescue. Fosters will be responsible for the care, feeding, well being of the puppy and for purchasing puppy pads as needed.
