A*Med Community Hospice is looking for aromatherapists to partner with to provide patient care. We also are welcome to partnering with acupuncturists and massage therapists.
The patients we serve have been given a terminal diagnosis and are choosing to enter hospice care to live their life to its fullest with as much support and comfort as possible. The patients want to be able to enjoy their remaining time with friends and family in their community not fighting a diagnosis.
Our goal is to serve our patients emotional, social, physical, spirtiual well being.
We would ask aromatherpists to travel to our patients, some in personal homes, and others in care facilities. We have patients throughout Austin and the surrounding suburbs, making volunteering convenient and minimizing travel.
You may choose to only perform aromatherapy, or you can become a regular volunteer to one or more patients as a social companion as well.
