A*Med hospice is a member of a wonderful Orgnaization We Honor Veterans, and we strive to give our veteran patients, and their families, the end of life care they deserve!
Our goal is match each veteran patient with a veteran volunteer. As veterans you each have a unique perspective on the world and share a brotherhood of service.
Hospice volunteering includes meeting with a patient at a home or care facility. We have patients throughout Austin and suburbs surrounding Austin. We do not ask or volunteers to perform physical care or transport patients.
The primary purpose of the visit is to give social emotional care to the patient through companionship. The secondary purpose is to give caregiver relief and peace of mind.
Hospice care does mean the patient is at the end of his/her life, and with our care they are able to live out their life to its fullest.
