Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs at no charge to the recipient.

Hands-on SWR is a campus clean up day before Team Training starts. Team training is a 2 week event that applicants for our assistance dogs are matched with our dogs.

On the Saturday before Team Training starts, we clean up the campus to prepare for the team's arrival. This includes, simple tidying of the dorm room, kitchen etc., sweeping the grounds, van cleaning, crate cleaning, exterior cleaning etc.
