The American Red Cross, Central NY Chapter, will operate a NY State Fair Parking Lot again this year from Wednesday, August 23rd through Monday, September 4th. All proceeds go directly to the American Red Cross.
We need to fill over 500 positions to make this event work, so we need your help volunteering and finding volunteers. Everyone who participates receives a complimentary ticket to the Fair - which can be used for any day of the Fair - for each shift they work! They also get complimentary parking for Fair attendance on the day they work the lot.
This a great opportunity to get family members, friends and corporate or community groups involved. Volunteers will be Parking Lot Attendants responsible for directing cars into spaces in the lot. All shifts are worked rain or shine, so you will be standing or walking for most of the shift in a variety of weather conditions. Refreshments and an air conditioned resting space will be provided.
You can choose to work any of three shifts available each day of the Fair: Morning Shift (7:00 am - 12:30 pm); Afternoon Shift (12:00 pm - 5:30 pm); or Evening Shift (5:00 pm - 10:00 pm). You will receive your free Fair ticket after completing your shift.
