Are you looking for a gratifying and emotionally meaningful opportunity? Blue Ridge Hospice is looking for companionship volunteers in the Sumter area. At Blue Ridge Hospice, our volunteers are a very important part of the hospice team. The patients that we service have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Volunteers play a crucial role in making the last few moments of our patient’s lives more meaningful.
Although we cannot add days to live, we can add life to days. Our volunteers are very important! There are many ways that you can volunteer. Some of the volunteer roles are:
Assist with small household chores or run errands.
Work alongside the Chaplin to provide spiritual and emotional support.
Friendly patient visits offering comfort and support.
Read to patients or write letters for them.
Provide clerical assistance in our office.
Provide a listening ear to patients and caregivers.
And so much more!
Become a Blue Ridge Volunteer!
"Volunteers plant seeds of love that helps countless hearts to grow..."
