ORGANIZATION: TECHIE YOUTH CORP

  • 10 people are interested

Techie Youth provides free tech education to foster youth and youths from disadvantaged backgrounds. We have been selected by NYC's Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) to deliver our training to approximately 160 youth!

The session begins on July 5, and runs for 7 weeks. We will have two classes per day, a morning class from 9am to 1pm and an afternoon class from 1pm to 5pm. Schedule details are being finalized.

We have a wonderful and inspiring instructor for the classes. However, we need several volunteers per class to give the students individual guidance.

We are looking for volunteers who :

  • are at least 18 years old
  • have tech experience/knowledge
  • are looking for hands-on experience with students
  • we prefer that you volunteer for the full 7-week period

This is a great opportunity to see how your work can touch lives. Please visit our website TechieYouth.org for news coverage and student testimonials.
