About

Are you a talented and seasoned writer? Are you passionate about wildlife conservation? Are you fascinated by nonhuman primates? Do you love digging into wildlife facts and crafting a story about what you've learned? Do you have a knack for making complex concepts accessible for all age groups and education levels?

Through our humane education programs, New England Primate Conservancy is committed to leaving a legacy of hope, and tools to create a better tomorrow for all of the Earth's citizens. We offer fun learning activities, engaging lesson plans, stories, facts, presentations, videos, and a wealth of resources for one’s personal interest or to create stimulating multi-disciplinary learning environments... because education is at the heart of animal protection.

New England Primate Conservancy's Primate Species Profiles webseries is a growing collection of creative articles written by our volunteers that gives readers glimpses into the worlds of a wide variety of monkey and ape species; their habitats, diets, physical characteristics, social behaviors, communication styles, conservation statuses, and fun facts. In an effort to reach the masses, we stay away from academic tones and scientific terminology. We strive for lucid presentation and turn facts into stories of conservation. Creative writing is required. The goal is to provide information that is captivating and accessible to most age groups and education levels.

This volunteer or internship position can be accomplished from your home, with close email and phone correspondence with the Education Team.

If you are a mature writer with a passion for conservation and wildlife protection, this opportunity may be for you.
