Volunteers are needed daily to maintain the best possible care for our horse and the maintenance of our facility. We are always looking for new volunteers to help where ever needed.


We also need volunteers to help assist with riding lessons for kids and adults with special needs.

If you are not intersted in helping us out in the barn with horse care of lessons. We are also in need of volunteers to help with fundraising, board members, comittee members.

Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center creates therapeutic programs for individuals with cognitive, physical, emotional, behavioral and psychological needs utilizing the equine experience. At Ivy Hill, Horses + Love = Hope.

Description

What do we offer?
We offer customized horsemanship and therapeutic horseback riding instruction, as well as Hippotherapy (physical therapy utilizing the movement of the horse) to individuals of all ages with cognitive, emotional or physical challenges.

Why are therapeutic riding and hippotherapy benificial?
The interaction between humans and horses has recognizable therapeutic benefits. Many of our riders are referred to Ivy Hill from educators and medical professionals with the goal of achieving specific physical, emotional and cognitive accomplishments. Our specialized programs are designed for the needs of each rider and can facilitate a variety of positive achievements in areas such as physical, cognitive, and emotional.
