Join the amazing Orlando-based nonprofit who strives to provide hygiene to the homeless!
The mission of Street Team Movement is to restore hope to individuals impacted by homelessness by providing showers, laundry and remedial aid.
The person in this position will be responsible for the Street Team Movement business cell phone line. Answering and returning calls to homeless clients in a timely manner (48 hours) and setting appointments for laundry and taking requests for remedial aid.
*Note: Phone typically recieves 5 calls a day and 3 texts. 9:00am-9:00pm M-S. Phone is OFF on Sundays. This will change as we expand.
The individuals in this position has a very friendly phone voice and a good working knowledge of Google Apps (which will be used to track laundry appointments and Remedial Aid requests). Perfect position for someone working from home. Working professionals will also be considered. Training will be provided.

Description
LAUNDRY Street Team Movement’s laundry program is called (Re):New. The goal of (Re): New is to provide a safe place for our clients to wash their clothes. A fresh change of newly washed clothes should not be taken for granted. SHOWERS The Street Team Movement’s shower program is called (Re): Fresh. The purpose of (Re): Fresh is to refresh the bodies of the homeless individuals that we are working with. REMEDIAL AID Street Team Movement’s Remedial Aid program is called (Re): Mediate. Remedial Aid is crucial to those living on the streets. (Re): Mediate will allow our clients to regain a sense of worth in a society that has overlooked their smallest needs. MINDFULNESS Our program that focuses on Mental Health is called (Re): Mind. We will equip these struggling homeless individuals with the tools to overcome one of their biggest oppressors: their mind. By reminding these individuals who they truly are and reestablishing their place in society.
