Thank you for your interest in volunteering at an Outdoor Work Party at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House! It is very important to us that we take care of our property in order to make our guests feel at home and as comfortable as possible. The House sits on three and a half acres of land and there are plenty of landscaping duties to keep up with. Here are a few more details to keep in mind.
Duties Include (But not limited to): Sweeping, Raking, Weeding, Trimming
Volunteers: The charity can accommodate up to 60 volunteers for this event. Please be sure to give the Volunteer Coordinator the number of volunteers in your group prior to the event
Attire: Volunteers will be doing physical, outdoor work so please wear
comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Please bring gloves if you have
them.
Refreshments: The Charity will provide bottled water and snacks
Weather: If it’s raining at 8 AM the morning of the event, the Work Party is
cancelled for the month.
When: Second Saturday of every month except for the months of October and December
Time: 8:30 am -12pm
Forms: Please bring your signed Volunteer waiver and Emergency contact forms we have provided
Minors: We ask that any minor volunteering is at least 14 years old, please have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver. You will be unable to volunteer without this completed form.

Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3), supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
In 1998 the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House opened its doors providing a 'home away from home' for families who have children age 0-18 being treated in one of the five Sacramento-area hospitals; UC Davis Medical Center, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Mercy, Kaiser, and Sutter Medical Center. Since then, the 39-bedroom facility has provided affordable, temporary housing for approximately 20,000 families who have traveled from all across the United States as well as countries around the world in order to provide their child with the best medical treatment available.
