The purpose of the navigator is to serve as personal escorts to patients, families and guests in need of directional assistance. Floor Navigators are the primary contact for discharges. In addition, navigators will provide courier services to staff for needs originating from their assigned unit. Navigators will also serve as back up support for hospitality/reception. They support patients with newspaper delivery and water. This position also inventories and stocks refrigerators throughout the hospital to assist nursing in obtaining food and necessities for patients.
