Compassionate persons with a flair for hair are needed to volunteer for the American Cancer Society Wig Boutique in Peoria. Cancer patients suffering from the effects of chemotherapy and radiation are fitted at no cost with brand new wigs. Wig Boutique volunteers conduct fittings to make sure wigs not only feel comfortable, but also match the patient’s lifestyle and personal taste. You can use your unique knowledge and skills to provide encouragement, support and brighten someone’s day. It’s a rewarding experience and is ideal for people who like one-on-one interaction.
