When: Saturday August 19th and/or August 26 th , 10:00am - 4:00pm
Where: John Stanford Center, 2445 3rd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134
Head Start provides a free preschool education to low income families in the Seattle area and is looking for some Back to School support Volunteers to help pave the way for our youngest and brightest. Volunteers at our Back to School Fair have the unique opportunity to get to interact with kids 3-5 before they start their upcoming school year. You will get to:
Set up and help run booths where kids and parents will learn about the opportunities that Head Start provides.
Be a part of the back to school experience where you can talk, laugh, and explore with kids from all different backgrounds.
Aid in preforming health and developmental screenings for kids coming into the school system.
Help wrap up and clean up the festivities when everything is over.
This opportunity will give you an inside look at what goes into our federally funded program and provide an interactive experience where you can give children the support they need to get the school year started in a positive direction.
