The Sensory Playground uses nature as a calming element for children with autism and intellectual disabilities. Come help us maintain this beautiful space!
Glade Run recently opened its unique Sensory Playground, a playground designed for everyone, but appropriate to meet the physical, sensory, and socialization needs of children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. The playground, a calm and serene sensory environment, has lots of nature, including flowers, fruit plants, trees, and herbs that need regular attention - including weeding. We're hoping to find some individual, family, or gardening groups to help us keep the playground beautiful. Flexible hours and scheduling, spring through fall.
