The Same Day Clinic at Highland Hospital provides treatment for illnesses and injuries that require immediate, non-emergency attention. The clinic also provides care for patients who need timely access to health care, but do not have a primary care doctor. As a volunteer in the Same Day Clinic, you help support the medical providers (including doctors, physician’s assistants, and nurse practitioners) and medical assistants by cleaning rooms, picking up lab results, picking up and delivering mail, transporting patients, and other tasks as needed. The Same Day Clinic is a great opportunity to be part of team of healthcare providers and see how everyone works together, especially if you are interested in becoming a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
