Rubber City Theatre is now accepting volunteer ushers for our 2017-18 shows!
Volunteer ushers arrive one hour prior to the show starting and help direct patrons to their seats.
Each volunteer usher is invited to stay to see the show, free of charge, on the date they usher.
This season's opportunties include:

Rubber City Theatre’s mission is to bring affordable and professional theatre to the Akron area. Through the use of our PAY-AS-YOU-LIKE-IT program we provide opportunities to see professional theatre for free for all ages. With Shakespeare and literary classics as our cornerstone, we strive to inspire the next generation of theatergoers and performers.

Rubber City Theatre offers a year-round season and aims to be a regional professional theatre for the Akron area providing theatre experiences that are:
ProfessionalRubber City Theatre re-imagines the classics and provides quality theatrical productions. We are committed to hiring local actors, designers, and theatrical technicians and compensating them for their time and talents.
Affordable
We believe theatre should be accessible to all. Therefore, Rubber City Theatre continues to offer opportunities for people of all ages to see professional theatre for free through our PAY-AS-YOU-LIKE-IT program. This is in addition to our commitment to keeping ticket prices affordable.
Educational
Arts education is important to development of children through adults. Our programs provide professional training and arts enrichment for future leaders and arts professionals.
