Are you someone who is friendly, out-going, and enjoys sharing your love of the arts with teens? Do people describe you as patient, kind, and curious? Are you studying special education, physical or occupational therapy, or museum studies? Have you assisted people who have special needs before?

The Smithsonian’s 2017 All Access IDENTITY Summer Camp provides a great opportunity for Washington, DC-metro area teens who have cognitive or intellectual disabilities to explore their identities through a one-week summer camp based at the Smithsonian's teen digital lab, ARTLAB+. Teens meet new friends, explore museums, & make digital and physical self-portraits; then present them to family and friends at a Saturday showcase. We are seeking volunteers to support teens through friendly interaction, assist with museum visits, and art-making using physical art supplies and computers. Volunteers must be able to commit to the full week.
