ORGANIZATION: Sam Davis Home and Museum

This internship will include the following:
- Assist in school material preparation
- Update Pre and Post Visit activities and lessons
- Conduct student tours
- Create lesson plans and worksheets
- Grant research and writing
- Assist with the management of field trips
- Assist with the preparation and management of all camps (all seasons)
Requirements, Abilities & Skills:
- Experience working with children is mandatory
- A desire to work outdoors
- Ability to teach activities to groups of all ages
- Responsible, reliable, and dedicated to job performance
- Commitment to being a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Creative problem solving and ability to use available resources
- First Aid and CPR skills are a plus, but not mandatory

There are always opportunities for volunteers to help out at the Sam Davis Home! From helping answer phones, helping school groups to dressing up in antebellum clothing at a large event - we have something for everyone!
