Sign up to help FOCUS reduce childhood hunger in Orange County! We are looking for volunteers Monday through Thursday throughout the summer to prepare and serve meals to children. Within Orange County 12.7% of the population is living in poverty, many of whom are children. According to the Westminster Family Resource Center, 45% of families report being worried that their food would run out before getting money to buy more, 57% report an annual income of $20,000 or less, and 66% receive medical coverage through Medi-Cal. Approximately 1,000 of nearly 10,000 students enrolled in Westminster School District are considered McKinney-Vento homeless. To help these families, FOCUS will feed children throughout the summer and we need your help to reach this goal!
Dates: July 10 - August 24, Monday-Thursday
Location: All volunteers will meet at Saint Luke Orthodox Church, 13261 Dunklee Ave Garden Grove, CA 92840, to prepare meals. Meals will be served to children at Westminster Family Resource Center 7200 Plaza Street Westminter, CA 92683.
Time: 9 am - 1:30 pm

Through the provision of social and human development services, FOCUS North America helps the poor and needy in North America. We bring communities, parishes, and partners together in hands-on activities - uniting giver and the underserved -- to help transform all of our lives and break the cycle of poverty that afflicts so many in our society.
