ORGANIZATION: Institute For Global Transformation

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

We are forming a Transformational Conversation Team. This team will first learn how to conduct Transformational Conversations and then either:

  1. teach the technique to others and/or
  2. actually organize these types of conversations with individuals, organizations, companies, or community leaders.

What are Transformational Conversations?

Dr. Judith Glaser, author of Conversational Intelligence says there are three types of conversations:

  • Transactional, in which two parties share information;
  • Persuasive, in which one or both parties attempt to bring the other to their point of view; and
  • Transformational, in which both parties co-create solutions.

According to Dr. Glaser, neuroscience shows "the persuasive mode triggers the lower, more primitive brain-the amygdala, which is prone to distrust and paranoia while transformational conversations trigger the prefrontal cortex in the brain and leads to trust, empathy, strategic thinking and good judgment."

Purpose of Transformational Conversations (TC)

The purpose of conducting a Transformational Conversations is to develop a higher level of consciousness and connectedness to others during the conversation. A TC will ignite the passion and creativity in others to engage in purposeful, mindful conversations that generate a shared higher vision for the topic being discussed. TC also build relationships, awareness and engagement.

Awakening a higher level of consciousness is the basis for all the change we seek to make in the world. As Change-Makers we are engaging in Transformational Conversations that offer the possibility of creating a new world paradigm out of which profound new solutions can arise, solutions that can’t be envisioned from the current paradigm in which we’re now living. This new paradigm will open the door to the possibility of a quantum leap in humanity’s ability to generate a wiser, more collaborative spirit and an understanding of the connectedness of all things.

Mission Statement

Create a world where people work together to benefit society and the planet. Provide an arena in which individuals can explore higher consciousness and apply their discoveries in practical ways to uplift and transform their individual lives, the global community and the planet. Create, develop, and implement processes that allow individuals to explore, experience and utilize the oneness of all things. Establish a global network of individuals and organizations who work together to utilize shared higher consciousness and apply it to create a paradigm shift in our approach to global concerns and the upliftment of humanity.

Description

We're comprised of two areas of focus that provide rich environments for the creation of personal and global service projects, retreats, and courses. Principles by which we operate:

  • Inner growth and service to humanity is our main purpose.
  • Ecological sustainability: Nature is sacred, global warming and ecology are very important.
