About

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Learn rotation stations of the school program.

 Shadow docent and staff to learn teaching techniques for the stations.

 Conduct practice tours with staff.

 Teach school programs once approved.

 Set up and break down school resource stations for tours (resource carts, pioneer room, courtroom).

 After programs, support staff when needed on various projects.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 Junior/Senior or higher status with major coursework toward a degree in Education, or History (with an emphasis on teaching), or Early Childhood Education.

 Some experience with children in a formal or non ‐ formal teaching environment preferred.

 Knowledge of Florida history a plus, but all information taught in the program will be provided.

 Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.

 Detail oriented, organized, dependable, and flexible. Able to work in a team atmosphere to adhere to time schedules to keep the programs running smoothly.

*Final candidates must pass a background check, must live and be able to work in the United States.
