The Latino Coalition is currently looking for a volunteer to watch the children at our eastside support group Semillas de Esperanza (Seeds of Hope).
We currently host 2 bi-weekly support groups on the eastside and west side of Indianapolis . In the group women are able to partake in activities that assist them, in breaking the emotional chains that tie them to their traumatic past.
To better assist our clients, we offer dinner and childcare free of charge.
The Support Group Sitter Volunteer must be:
· Passionate
· Dedicated
· Trustworthy
· Responsible
The volunteer will be responsible for watching the children and ensuring their safety. We typically have about 3-6 children at the group, ranging from ages 5-8. Volunteer can plan fun activities (Latino Coalition will provide supplies) or staff at the coalition can plan activities that volunteer will implement.
Volunteer does not need to speak Spanish, but it is a plus.
