Habitat Restoration in the Gardena Willows Wetland Preserve. Many different tasks including trail clearing, removal of invasive species, trash/debris removal and cleaning between boards of bridges and overlook, just to name a few!
This is a City of Gardena sponsored event "20th Annual Keep Gardena Beautiful Day" and at noon lunch will be offered to all participants. The City will be providing t-shirts to volunteers. Please email or call (gardenawillows@pacbell.net or 310-217-0681) with your name and size of t-shirt no later than Friday, Sept. 6th.
After that date t-shirts will be on an as-available basis.
Directions to location for lunch will be provided on the work day to all volunteers.
Community Service hours credit will be given for work performed, if requested.

To restore, maintain, and enhance the Gardena Willows Wetland Preserve’s unique natural habitat and native flora and fauna for the enjoyment, enrichment, and education of present and future generations of all ages.
Description
The Gardena Willows Wetland Preserve is a federally protected wetland covering 13.6 acres of land owned by the City of Gardena, in Los Angeles County, California. The Friends of Gardena Willows Wetland Preserve, Inc. are the land stewards for the Preserve for the City of Gardena. The Friends is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt corporation established in 2006. We are always seeking volunteers interested in helping with our Mission Statement.
