The Victory Summit is an upbeat, inspiring day that will include the latest information and practical tools that people with Parkinson’s can use to live well today.
We are looking for assistance at our event located at Fort Lewis College from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm on July 22nd with tasks such as attendee check-in, greeting and ushering guests, handing out program bags to households, lunch distribution and more. We provide an event t-shirt and complimentary boxed lunch as a small token of our appreciation. During any down time, volunteers would be more than welcome to join attendees and listen to presentations.
To register, please head to: https://www.eply.com/TheVictorySummitDurango1850029
Thanks in advance for helping make this event a success!

Mission Statement
The Davis Phinney Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease today.
Description
The truth is, Parkinson’s can strip people of momentum and hope. At the Davis Phinney Foundation, we're committed to helping people with PD and their caregivers find new ways to improve their lives today. We constantly look for ways to motivate and inspire people with PD. And in the process, we are continually inspired ourselves. Every day we meet people exploring new ways to live better with the disease. We've met people who are climbing mountains, running marathons, and even riding their bikes across the country. And we've met people who find victory in walking around the block. Because, in the end, it's not the size of the victory, but the recognition of it that counts. The motivation behind it. The inspiration it can provide to others. In the end, it's about what we can do today to improve lives. And that is a victory in itself.
At the DPF we inspire and inform people living with Parkinson’s through:
- Information on how to live well with PD
- Investment in research that can improve quality of life
- Impact on the lives of people with PD through funding of exercise and speech programs
- Encouragement of those impacted by the disease to celebrate the daily victories in their lives
