The ABTA is looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer at the 2017 National Patient & Family Conference. This unique volunteer experience will provide you with the opportunity to support staff, network, and get a glimpse in to the latest advances in brain tumor research, treatment, and care. Volunteer Opportunities:

Registration Help: Duties include handing out registration materials, checking in attendees, and answering questions about the day of event activities.

Opening/General Session Setup: Volunteers must be physically able to carry/move boxes and place information on tables and throughout meeting venue.

General Session Room Monitor: Welcome attendees as they enter room, help them find seating, thank them for coming, direct to reserved seating if they have vision or hearing difficulties, and have general knowledge of hotel for answering questions, assist with question and answer session.

Closing/General Session Wrap-up: Assist the ABTA with the completion of the event, boxing of materials, and shipping of products at the end of the event.

General Volunteer: Available to help in any area that may arise during the Patient & Family Conference.

Description

Founded in 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) was the first national nonprofit organization dedicated solely to brain tumors. For over 40 years, the ABTA has been providing critical funding to researchers working toward breakthroughs in brain tumor diagnosis, treatment and care. We remain the only national organization providing comprehensive resources and serving the complex supportive care needs of brain tumor patients and their caregivers - from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
