Mission: Hopecam is a 501c3 charitable organization with the mission of using technology to overcome the social isolation of children in treatment for cancer. Recognizing the critical need for socialization with their friends and classmates, Hopecam seeks to bridge the lonely divide between homebound or hospitalized children and their friends at school using tablets, web cameras, and Skype.

Position Description:

• Must be available during school office hours regardless of time zone
• Locates school information (counselors, principals, and teachers emails, addresses, etc.)
• Reaching out to schools to start the connection process
• Follow up with schools who are unable to connect with students
• Help troubleshoot tech any tech issues
• Continues communication with schools to make sure connections are successful
• Entering information in our data base
• Assembles Welcome Packets for school connections

Required Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and flexibility
• Team player and willing to "pitch in" in areas that are not outlined in description
• Ability to work with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
• Excellent PC skills and well versed in PC version of Microsoft Word/Excel
• Detail orientated
• Sophisticated interpersonal communication skills
• Reliable transportation to the Hopecam office
• Must pass a criminal background check

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 months, 3-4 hours/week
• Sense of humor
