Our puppy raisers have the important job of raising our young dogs to help them reach their full potential. Puppy Raisers commit to caring for, nurturing and training an Anchor Assistance Dog puppy for around 12-18 months. The dog will live in your home, is expected to learn appropriate house behavior, basic obedience, and be socialized to prepare for work as a service animal. Anchor Assistance Dogs is committed to providing you with support and direction to ensure a positive and successful experience for both you and the dog. Our puppy raisers attend regular training classes and follow our positive reinforcement based training techniques. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity to learn about dog training, and give a true gift of love to someone in need.
