ORGANIZATION: All Aboard Animal Rescue

We are looking to add an experienced foster coordinator to our rescue team. We are a foster based rescue, meaning that all of our dogs stay in foster homes until they are adopted. This helps give them a chance to start being socialized and living in a home environment and gives us a chance to learn about the dogs so that we can match them with proper homes. We need someone who can recruit, manage and enhance our foster program to help us rescue even more dogs. This job is part-time about 25-30 hours a week, but has potential to grow into a full time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main point of contact for our fosters. Help answer questions and concerns, make sure dogs make it to vet appointments, meet and greets and events, and maintain good relations with the volunteers caring for our animals.
  • Recruit new fosters and market our rescue.
  • Manage foster homes to make sure that all rescue dogs currently in rescue or coming into our rescue have a safe, loving place to stay.
  • Perform yearly home inspections for all active and new fosters.
  • Keep accurate records of our foster dogs and foster homes.
  • Help out at our weekly adoption events and special events.

Qualifications:

  • Must have rescue or shelter experience, including animal care experience, foster coordination a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Must love animals and have beliefs that align with rescue goals.
