Hospice Volunteers Needed - Bolingbrook, Plainsfield, Romeoville, and Joliet areas.
As a hospice volunteer you will be providing emotional, social, spiritual, and practical (non-medical) support for people living with a life-threatening illness, their caregivers, and families.
- Read books or play music for those who are unable to visit with you, but need to know they are not alone.
- Share laughter and tears.
- Share life stories.
- Companionship and active listening.
- Watch movies and television.
- Doing arts and crafts.
- Comfortable with openly talking about death, dying, and bereavement.
A screening interview, personal and background checks, 2-step TB, and completion of a training program are required prior to placement as a volunteer. All Training Free of Charge.

Our Hospice Team
Hospice Care is delivered by a team of professionals and volunteers. Under the direction of the patient's physician and our hospice medical director, the team follows a personalized plan of physical, emotional and spiritual care.
